GUV Training and CertificationNALMCO along with the University of Maryland and other partners have worked to develop a Germicidal Ultraviolet (GUV) training and certification. Germicidal Ultraviolet (GUV) technology has gained significant recognition as an effective method for disinfection of air and surfaces across various industries. With its proven ability to eliminate harmful pathogens, it has become an integral component in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees, customers, and the general public. With that being said, it is important to train professionals responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of germicidal GUV luminaires. This training and certification program will serve as the first step toward educating the public on the proper and safe use of Germicidal GUV. GUV is safe and effective to clean air inside buildings, but it is important that it be installed by a knowledgeable professional. The GUV Installer Training Program has been developed by the University of Maryland with generous funding from the Balvi Foundation. The online content is freely available to everyone and NALMCO provides the certification exams for a reasonable cost. The program provides the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to safely and effectively install Germicidal Ultraviolet (GUV) systems. Whether you’re a technician, consultant, or business manager, we offer courses tailored to your needs. Learning Objectives:
This program has been thoughtfully developed to provide a thorough understanding of germicidal GUV technology and its practical application across various industries. Upon completion of the training, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to safely install, operate, and maintain GUV systems. The training contributors are experts in the GUV industry. Training sessions will be led by a distinguished panel of industry experts with deep experience in GUV technology. They will offer valuable insights, practical instruction, and expert guidance to ensure a well-rounded learning experience. The program offers three levels of GUV certification:
We are confident that the Germicidal GUV Training and Certification Program will empower your organization with the tools needed to improve disinfection protocols and foster a healthier environment.
